Review & Swatches-Shades By GAL Pencils and Concealers

I am always into exploring n experimenting new brands, I am not a 'brand conscious' person at all, honestly. But obviously I do look into quality product regardless what the label is. This time I thought to try a new brand not very famous but I bet its gonna lead in near future.
Shades by Gal is an American brand dealing in quality color cosmetics. Let's check out how these goodies come out for me.
First I will try the eye pencils I got. One is black n called Noir the other one  in dark brown is Sienna.

 

As the name suggests Super wear gel liner pencils, are they really worth the name? Let’s find out.

The tips of the pencils r really fine n smooth like crayons not pointed but round, for easy and smooth application.

The swatches above show consistency of the pigmentation of both the pencils. As it can be clearly seen ‘Sienna’ is more of a tan brown, while ‘Noir’ is obviously a matte black shade. On application they seems quite smooth n buttery to me though they r not soft enough to break off easily the leads are quite sturdy but easy to handle in application. Like most of the pencils it doesn’t require much effort to drag and rub hither n thither to get a deep dark effect from the product.  

On application to the waterline, it can be observed they are fairly good and color payoff is sufficient to show up. I applied it to my upper lash line in order to check whether it could work as a gel liner too or not.
 But as you can see the results are much better than expected.

Pros:

• highly pigmented pencils
• soft and creamy in texture
• waterproof
• long-lasting
• alternate for gel liner

Cons:

• doesnt show much on water line
• pricey
• not easily available in Pakistan

Now coming to the Concealers I got two, one in medium neutral and the other in dark.

Generally,cream based concealer is considered for full coverage. Shades by gal Concealers are creamy in texture and are ideal for full coverage concealment. They are highly pigmented and with one swipe a good amount of creamy product comes on the finger tip.

Although both the concealers have pink undertones but the 'Medium Neutral' is slightly more pinkish while 'Dark' is deep and consists both yellow and pink undertones.
I have horribly dark under eye pigmentation.

As the name suggests medium neutral gives medium coverage which neutralizes pigmented tone.

Dark gives opaque and full coverage to the dark circles

Pros:

• highly pigmented
• easy to blend in
• creamy and smooth 
• stays a good period of time
• highlights the under eye area
• can be used as eye primer too

Cons:

• pink undertones may bother you if you have darkest eye area
• not available in Pakistan
• creases if not set with powder
• might feel heavy under eye due to extreme coverage

My thoughts:
Super wear gel liner pencil are true to what they claim, they are beautiful pigmented excellent not only for upper lash line but for water line as well. it really didn't smudged much and i will recommend it if looking for a dark deep matte pencil.In case of Concelers5 the choice is completely yours if you r looking for something to balance Ur under eye area then you can use medium neutral for heavy coverage on occasions Dark is a better option. Being a beholder of dark purple under eye area pink undertones bother me. But an orange corrector before the Concealer application can omit this issue as well.
